Introduction to Traditional Medicine

This program is offered to students with an interest in traditional medicine. The Ashram is a place of spirituality where patients come for “drugless” treatment through alteration of their diet, lifestyle incorporating mind and body systems. The philosophy of the Ashram is based on healing the entire body and mind through yoga, meditation, simple natural treatments and controlled vegetarian diet. Students here can immerse themselves in the lifestyle of the Ashram. The program requires a degree of commitment to learning about traditional medicine as the changes in diet and lifestyle can take time to get used to.
